Where is Lakshadweep Located?

Lakshadweep is the smallest of all the Union Territories of India with 4200 sq.km of lagoon area and 36 islands which are spread in an area of 32 sq. km.

Lakshadweep is located on the west coast of Kerala in the Arabian Sea and at a distance of approximately 240 km from Malabar Coast of Kerala.

Lakshadweep island has 12 atolls, 3 reefs and 5 submerged banks. Only 10 islands of Lakshadweep are inhabited out of 36 islands. Inhabited islands are Agatti, Androth, Amini, Kavaratti, Kalpeni, Kadmat, Kiltan, Bitra, Chetlat and Minicoy.
